Before jetting off to dive the Seven Sisters oil platforms in Santa Barbara, we unwrapped the new "Lollipop" GoPro rig and took it for a test dive in the kelp forest off Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

The Lollipop GoPro rig is our most important piece of equipment - a revolutionary new camera that uses 6 GoPros to stitch together a 360 degree image. Developed and engineered with the help of Rick Elkus, the images produced by the Lollipop camera allows anyone to take a "virtual dive" on an oil platform, on a coral reef, in a kelp forest or anywhere in our underwater world.
